The world is a confusing place with too many questions and not enough innocent creativity. Art helps release the energy that can’t be expressed or experienced. The euphoria of creating is what encourages me to share. One must live their life creating things that make them happy and then sharing that happiness.

Zinnia flowers covered the ground the day I was born in Texas. Carole, my grandmother, was the inspiration for my middle name. She was a successful traditional watercolor artist who died too young. My father, Bingo, carried on the tradition and dominated various mediums while my mother, Sally, had a sui generis eye collecting, creating, and influencing art. Zephyr, my brother, bestfriend, and confidante, perhaps has the most unwavering style and unsolicited yet helpful advice and suggestions. The support and encouragement oozing from my family whole heartedly influenced the artist and person I am today. Every single person in this world deserves to express themselves freely and however they wish with the motivation from the world on their shoulders.

By the time I was five we relocated to Boise, ID and grew to become the Zinnia I am today. A true Texan cowgirl by day and a PNW Bro by night, I cover all my bases. My life has led me on other various adventures that have undoubtedly made me the artist that I am, but for now I will leave you with Z’art.
